"Life
is made of concentric cages. We break a cage after a struggle, breathe
deep and feel free, only to discover a larger cage around.(...)
My art is my step toward freedom. With every new canvas, a cage
is broken.
The
human body offers an infinite vocabulary of shapes and textures,
the transparencies and reflections of the skin playing with the
light provide a continual source of inspiration. Here on the ocean
shore, the colors emerge in bold contrasts and shining solar vibrations
unlike anywhere else.
My paintings
explore both realism and mythical allegory. Each one of them narrates
a story, engaging the viewer in an array of emotions from a woman's
perspective.
In
my paintings I often incorporate oil and colored pencil or graphite,
golden pigments and acrylics in a mixed media approach.
