Jacques Fleureaux
is a self-taught painter, a passionate about original writings and
signsand a creator of ambiance.
He tames
his inner seething against mediocrity to paint his works, which
are also texts that yield a cry. Abstraction, surely, but only in
the sense that the worlds it describes are hidden from sight. Jaycees
Fleureaux abhors mediocrity and triviality; yet he never demeans
himself to showing it in his work. Quite the opposite, he prefers
to contemplate the immensity which commandeers the cosmos that he
can not imagine to be void, but rather inhabited by the mind. He
believes that PioneerŐs image was not transmitted in vain. It is
not necessary to invent extraterrestrial readers: it is up to mankind
to read this metatextual message...
